Guest Snaku Posted December 8, 2011 Report Posted December 8, 2011 I wonder how this phone can compete against the new kid Xiaomi Mi One? Specs on this U960 does not even come close to the Mi One and is more expensive than Mi One.

Guest jurrasstoil Posted December 9, 2011 Report Posted December 9, 2011 Not sure about the prices of other phones in China, but right now that price wouldn't be very competitive. You can get a Nexus S for 200-230 Euros and it has a massive community behind it already. For 270 Euros you can get an LGOS P990 that has better specs (apart from the slightly smaller screen) and most likely a lot higher build quality.
Guest Roph Posted December 10, 2011 Report Posted December 10, 2011 ZTE knows that ARMv7 Exists, wow :o

Specs on this U960 does not even come close to the Mi One and is more expensive than Mi One. Please note that currently the M1 is not on sale worldwide, and only available in China. Although I know a place from where I can (and will) get one for 370$ + shipping :D
Guest Snaku Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 Please note that currently the M1 is not on sale worldwide, and only available in China. Although I know a place from where I can (and will) get one for 370$ + shipping :D I was under the impression the ZTE 960 is also for China only, hence the OP has listed the price in China Yuan. Seeing how ZTE release a phone now, having worst specs and a higher price than a Mi One just baffled my mind. Also while I did not say this explicit, I was seeing the comparison between both phones from the point of view of a potential Chinese buyer ;) Whoever who doesn't know what a Mi One is should look it up on google or read this review http://www.engadget....i-phone-review/

I think this phone is targeting a completely different user base. As far as I m aware of, this is the only decent dual-sim, Dual GSM, Dual 3G and Dual connections phone out there. One might question what's the use of such features, but it is actually really handy to have for people that travel between countries a lot. The Dual GSM Dual Connection feature in particular is very good as it basically enables both Sim be active on 3G basis at all time. It also fills in a huge gap as the high end Dual Sim devices available at the moment (from Motorola and etc) are mostly GSM +CDMA2000 (which are frankly speaking useless to most people), not dual GSM or GSM + WCDMA that most of the world is on. Other phones like Mi One might have faster processors and etc but they are not exactly comparable given the focus on Dual Sim feature. Also, in terms of price, this phone is not expensive versus others in the same class. It is in the same price range as Motorola XT532 which is slower, smaller screen, worse resolution, and weaker dual sim feature. Edited December 18, 2011 by cezent
Guest gamba66 Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 Hey guys, I luckily got the U960 used from someone who imported to germany from china! I will write up a review very soon and publish somewhere in the ZTE section! All I can say is thay the U960 is the best modern android dualsim smartphone which even supports two sims simultaneously because of its DSFA technique! Obviously you pay the premium gor that extremely unique feature, but other than the outdated specs, the display is quite gorgeous! But ofcourse it isnt perfect and has some flaws, more of that in my review ;)
Guest eLJay Posted June 11, 2012 Report Posted June 11, 2012 (edited) Too late - bought a Huawei G300 for a lot less! And that has a v7 processor. Edited June 11, 2012 by eLJay
