Guest undisclosedpower Posted December 10, 2011 Report Posted December 10, 2011 Maybe I've just been spoiled be the fact that my main phone has always been an HTC device with sense, and that i've never really looked on my Blade. But does standard android really not have a countdown timer? I.E ring the alarm in X minutes? If i'm just being moronic and can't see it. Can someone point me in the direction of where to find it, or failing that suggest an app from the market that will do something like this? Cheers!
Guest Chris Jenx Posted December 10, 2011 Report Posted December 10, 2011 Well it has an alarm. But not an egg timer per-se. The sense stuff is too much imo. I dont use a count diwn so i cant really recommend an app.
Guest AndyCr15 Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 I've used Hybrid Stopwatch - https://market.android.com/details?id=com.hybrid.stopwatch
Guest moveandfire Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 I like Tick for how clean and simple it is: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.rabugentom.tick
Guest jtecj Posted December 12, 2011 Report Posted December 12, 2011 I havent tested this on my Galaxy Nexus yet but on my nexus s i was able to do that through the built in voice commands. try tapping the mic and saying "set alarm for 10 minutes from now" or whatever number you want. Justin
Guest Bierfreund Posted December 12, 2011 Report Posted December 12, 2011 I can understand undisclosedpower's request. I also liked the Clock app from my SGS 2. It had alarm, world clock, stop watch and timer in one app. I tried copying ClockPackage.apk from SGS2 (http://www.multiupload.com/TV704SULWH) and Galaxy Note (http://www.multiupload.com/N7SC5W7892) to /system/app (and correct permissions) but it didn't work (even didn't show up in App Drawer). Looks like it needs TW... If anyone has an idea to get it running or knows a similar app, please let me know.
Guest stesmi Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 I use something called KitchenTimer. You can configure several timers at once with alarms, etc. // Stefan
