Selected mp3 ringtone loss

Hi Gurus,

Acer Liquid Metal S120 with Android 2.3.6 AAP Gen-2 O/S. After setting mp3 as ringtones from song list on my SD card for awhile, the selecting is gone forever. Could it be a bug in Android. Any idea where the ringtones are stored. I can't find any of the default ringtones on my SD card at all.

Thanks!

well what i know is if you want to make a .mp3 file as a ringtone then in your SD card make a folder with the name "media" and inside that folder make 2 folders "ringtones" and "notifications" and put the mp3 files inside them then reboot the phone, and they should show up when you try to choose the ringtone

Thanks very much for your help. Will certainly try it out. Have a Merry Christmas.
