Guest jackal-sk Posted December 12, 2011 Report Posted December 12, 2011 Hi, maybe someone can enlighten this to me a bit. I usually try to charge the battery only to 90% to be battery friendly. (As can be seen here) However, when I do charge to full 100%, the first 10% always drops super fast even in idle state and only after then, the discharge works as usual. I recalibrated my battery 4 days ago with wiping the battery stats. Why does this happen ? On a friend's HTC phone he says it discharges continuously even from 100% charge. If anyone who knows what's he's talking about could reply, would be cool.
Guest targetbsp Posted December 12, 2011 Report Posted December 12, 2011 I find it depends how long you leave it plugged in at 100%. If you leave it on 100% for a few hours then it takes ages to drop off 100. If unplugged immediately it goes down to 90%. But it is regularly stated around this forum to simply ignore the 90-100 range when evaluating battery performance. It's well known to be useless on this phone at least.

Aha, yep I've read that so too. So this is a phone related matter or ROM related or battery related ? That's kind of what I'm trying to find out.
Guest Davidoff59 Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 (edited) one idea is to check the actual battery voltage. fully charged, the battery is at 4332 mv if my memory serves me, If not I will edit this later. given the weeny battery in the blade anyway, I'm sure their useful life will be short anyway with the need for daily charging.
