Guest ManMetDeHamer Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 Since my ear speaker is fcked up making cracking sounds while calling and it makes it hard to understand ppl im looking to replace the phone, but i cant realy decide between buying a new blade for 110 euro or gettinga galaxy gio for about 140. So im asking you this question, what do you think?
Guest jurrasstoil Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 (edited) Just judging by the specs, the Gio doesn't seem to be an upgrade, but more of a downgrade. The resolution is lower (480x320 instead of 800x480) and the CPU is basically the same, just overclocked to 800mhz. The Motorola Defy would be an upgrade and as far as i can tell the next cheapest phone that has better specs than the blade. You could try to get your hands on a decent used HTC Desire which usually sells for about 150-170 Euros from what i've seen recently. PS: I don't know anything about the Skate, so maybe thats an alternative as well. Edited December 14, 2011 by jurrasstoil

Don't get a used desire it still has the same crappy multitouch as the blade.
Guest unrandomsam Posted December 15, 2011 Report Posted December 15, 2011 If you are going to go for Samsung get either galaxy s plus or galaxy W (Think they are about same cost as Defy). If you are going to get a Defy might as well pay the extra tenner to get the defy+ (stock 2.3)
Guest Badgie Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 ZTE Skate/Orange Monte Carlo. Mine cost under £100 and the big screen feels like an upgrade... and the camera

Guest eLJay Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 But isn't the latest ZTE just a clocked v6 processor?
Guest Banannnaman Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Has anyone seen this from Phones4u? http://www.phones4u.co.uk/shop/shop_payg_details.asp?ItemKey=575162&intcid=smallbanner-sonyericsson-xperia-play This phone is still going for £400+ on some sites and now only £150 quid with a £10 top up??? can someone tell me why this is so cheap?
Guest Piscium Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 1.blade is a little bit out of time. 2. new produced blade have problem with camera and touch after flash CM7 3. ICS will not resolve the problem above, unless ZTE will release the real correct source code of kernerl of blade, which seems ZTE would not do like that. 4. even I am a blade user which luckly resolve the problems under the great help form tom and burstlam, I still recommend you to make the new choice W/O blade
Guest ThermalDroid Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 Xperia play on o2 is around £200 and the xperia live Walkman is £180 from play, I can recommend the xperia live, its a good lil phone and my bro loves it!

Guest Sere83 Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 Don't get either. No point putting yourself through the pain of ARMv6. If you are in the UK take advantage of that Xperia Play offer posted earlier or grab a Huawei Ideos X5. Or go ebay and get an older ARMv7 based phone second hand.
Guest swisstourist Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 What's the difference between arm6 & 7? I am not interested by games! sent from tapatalk :-)
