editing build prop to run games

hi, I recall someone editing the build prop file to install games from the market which you usually wouldn't be able to.

what do I change things to and can i run ft academy etc by gameloft?

With root explorer go to system/build.prop

Long press on build.prop and select open in text editor

Now go to the line "ro.product.manufacturer=ZTE"

Change ZTE to HTC

Press menu and select save & exit

Reboot.

This allows HD games etc.

Thanks will that work for cm7 and how can I check if it works? Look for hd games?
