Guest Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 I'm on a replacement OSF. Working my way thru issues arising on restoring my last broken phone to the replacement. Jellyfish 2.2. It's rooted of course. So all seemed fine, more or less, but I've noted on playing some, but not all videos on the Iplayer or thru internet explorer, some videos show either a grid of black lines on the video (vertical and horizontal) or just horizontal lines. I remember my earlier phone had horizontal white lines on the video record screen until I used VM Heap tool to increase the heap size to 32M. But that doesn't seem to be the issue. Anyone recognise this issue? Don't think it's the source material as plays fine on my pc. Many thanks.
Guest Davidoff59 Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 I had this issue once before. I have also heard of it elsewhere. the only thing I could tie it down to was a new rom I flashed but that was one of the gingerbread roms. I have never had the issue on cm7
Guest targetbsp Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 I had this on youtube. Going to 48mb Vm heap fixed it for me. As did using Flash 10.3 (even with 32mb VM Heap) rather than 10.2.
Guest Posted December 15, 2011 Report Posted December 15, 2011 (edited) Blimey, increasing to 48 fixed it, thanks so much! But I'll look again into using flash. I wasn't using any version of adobe flash as I'd understood it was incompatible or at best the version some people have found worked was a bit inconsistent in its results. Update: problem returned. If anyone is still reading this, any further ideas? Maybe a newer rom? Edited December 27, 2011 by Guest
