[SOLVED] How can I go back to stock ROM?

Hello guys, I'm afraid I'm going to need your help with this.

The thing is that I have "t&l Metal" ROM installed and I want to go back to the stock Acer ROM (I'm sending my phone back to Expansis for a refound). I've downloaded "OS_Acer_4.000.13.EMEA.GEN1_A23G_LiquidMT" from the Acer website, I've executed the setup.exe, and the installation worked fine. After that, when I'm in the Acer LM upgrade utility, I connect the phone via USB (in debbug mode), the software recognizes my device, I click "Next" and then I get a beatiful message saying that there isn't enough space (20MB) in the internal phone storage. And then I have to exit.

I checked it, and I have 118MB of free space. What could be the problem? Link2sd maybe? If anybody knows why this happens, is there any other way to install this specific Acer stock ROM version?

Thank you so much in advance :)

The Acer tool from the website doesn't behave with custom ROM's for whatever reason. I think you'll need to use the Stock Acer BIN files to go back to the official ROM and then you can keep it that way or use the official one from the website.

The thing is that I tried that before.

I downloaded " Acer_LiquidMT_3.009.01_EMEA-GEN1_03.09.02.bin.zip" (the most updated GEN1 bin I've found on the pinned thread) and "Acer Download Tool RD v1.282". Then, on the Acer Download Tool I selected the bin in "Merge OS file", and just that (I don't know if I have to do anything else). Then I connected the phone via USB (without debbug mode), "OS Port" changed to "COM9", but on "Device 01" it still saying "N/A" (I don't know if this is important). Anyways, I clicked "START" and everething seemed to work well, until I got this:

This is not the full log, just the end of it, when I got the error.

After that I had to take the battery off, and then the phone didn't boot, obviusly. I didn't have Recovery but I managed to install CWM Recovery from fastboot mode. From the recovery I installed "t&l Metal" ROM again, and here I am... u_u

Any thoughts?

I've tried that method but cannot get it to work.

When I press the Vol-, Camera and power combo I get the three buzzes/vibration followed by a continuous buzz/vibration. My screen is broken so I cannot see what I am doing.

I have CMW recovery v3 (with a stock 2.36 backup if that helps) and Gingerounay 3.0.1

It worked for me, also having CMW and Gingerounay 3.0.1

The process takes some minutes, but after that, the device should reboot itself. During the bootup you should be able to hear the boot up sound. the process does not require any user action, so just holding down the camera button (not the same as focus!) and vol - should do the trick. Be sure to press the shutterbutton all the way in. Gently pressing the key will only activate focus, not camera. It's a two stage button.

I've tried the method from SD ( I have the same problem as Hassled with continuous vibration, plus failed message) and also the download from the Acer website fails with an error.

K0zmic - How do I go about using the BIN files to get the standard rom back on. To get Gingerounay on I just put the zip on my SD card and then ran from 'install zip from SD' . Is that all I need to do with the BIN files for the stock rom in the pinned thread.

Anyone who would like to help it would be appreciated. Even if i can get onto an earlier stock rom then hopefully the official one will work to get it up to date.
