Guest Wacky.ddw Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 (edited) In my stock rom the 'input language' was set to 'Nederlands' dutch. Would it be possible to extract the dictionary files? Also to change the keyboard back to Azerty? I know there are keyboards to dowload in the market, like swiftkey etc. But i rather keep the stock android keyboard. It took me long enough to get used to this one... I'd be very interested to get the same information as well. I thought Android 2.3.x (I think 2.3.3) already supported Dutch dictionaries, but I can't get it working like it does in English. My brother has a SGSII and his has about the same problem, although I haven't really tried to fix that. EDIT: Checked my brother's SGSII and he doesn't have this problem. I think it's only in "clean" Android versions. Edited December 17, 2011 by Redstarr1
Guest v1pEr Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 Another dutch user here that would be glad with the dictionaries :)
Guest Redstarr1 Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 I've been looking up a bit on this, and I found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=864036 The Dutch dictionaries are in the 2nd post. I think this is for putting the Gingerbread keyboard on phones that were still on Froyo, but I don't see why it shouldn't work. The files look the same like the files on my phone.. There's a flash-able version and an .apk. I'm not really up to try it though, I just put all my apps back in order after getting Atomic 2.0 and I really like the keyboard in there. Maybe next weekend, but now I need my phone to work during the week. Actually I barely use word prediction anyway, it's turned off on my iPod Touch. On stock Android I've been using a keyboard that did prediction and it got a lot of words wrong, changing words I typed right at first. So if anybody is feeling adventurous, feel free to share :-).
Guest Redstarr1 Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 (edited) I don't have that bug .. I don't get how you got it.. Atomic works like a breeze with me. The icons in the status bar sometimes change though. For instance the battery indicator was a circle at first (like in your picture), but now it became a vertical bar, but still with battery percentage though. And the symbol for the sound being disabled also changed after flashing the "add-carrier-name"-addon. Not that that stuff matters. I also didn't get a gps-fix yet, could be that that doesn't work. I don't get how your keyboard is different from mine, tillaz's zip-file with the rom also contains the keyboard, so we downloaded the same file. Did you try downloading it again, instead of flashing the same rom several times? Could be some kind of corruption when downloading.. Stupid idea, but it's only been 3 days since I put my first custom rom on a phone. EDIT: got a gps fix now, only bluetooth left to test. Edited December 19, 2011 by Redstarr1
Guest Wacky.ddw Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 (edited) You can reflash the Circle battery mod. Its on the font page of Atomic. But im staying on cyanogenmod7 now till cyanogen9 comes out . Im using Go keyboard now. Its pretty good actually :D The onther keyboards ive tested allways looked ugly imo. But this one with the gingerbread theme its quite nice :D Edited December 19, 2011 by Wacky.ddw
