Guest mancterrier Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 Hi I bought a blade a while ago as my backup phone. My no1 phone is in for maintenance and the blade has been working fine for a few weeks now. Today I tried to switch sd cards over but ever since the phone will only boot up when its on a charge. As soon as I remove the power cable it dies instantly even though it is fully charged. Ive tried a data reset and was going to try take it back to the original orange romk to see if that helped. Anyone any ideas? Battery gubbed?

Guest Davidoff59 Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 Def sounds like the battery as the phone will power up with the battery removed anyway. Is there any signs of damage on the phone at all, ie when the battery is sat on a flat surface, does it rock from side to side to show that the battery is starting to bulge?
Guest unrandomsam Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Just try cleaning the battery contacts (isopropyl alcohol) on the battery and the phone contacts. Might be able to get away with nail varnish remover (I know someone who swears by it but don't like the idea of the perfume). You can also try wedging something between the back of the battery and the case. (Small piece of card or whatever). Lot of fake batteries around.
Guest Shonk Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 as urandomsam said use isopropanol on the contacts should be fine then one of mine did it the other week
