Guest iKrautDroid Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 (edited) So, i followed the instructions for building cm7 from source for the blade using Ubuntu (dual boot). I started the repo sync, seemed to be working fine... Due to my slow internet connention, i let the sync continue over night. When I checked the next morning, i saw this: // lots of code I didnt copy before this :) remote: Total 522174 (delta 312866), reused 495395 (delta 286911) Receiving objects: 100% (522174/522174), 822.19 MiB | 114 KiB/s, done. Is the sync done? Did something wrong? If yes, what? And how can I fix this? Thanx in advance for all help , Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! (I cant wait!) Guest targetbsp Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 (edited) I still have to use the mirror: http://synrgi.wordpr...ository-remedy/ or mine hangs at the end of the initial syncing and is unusable. Corrupted in some way. Edited December 19, 2011 by targetbsp
Guest iKrautDroid Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 It hangs out just like it shows in the codebox?
Guest targetbsp Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 (edited) Yeah. was about 97% or 98% completed. I tried it 3 times and various suggestions in google to recover from it. None of which worked. Then I just switched to the mirror and it worked first time. [edit] oh! that same project. Android_Prebuilt. I remember now I've read your copy and paste. Yeah that's exactly what I had. So yeah switch to the mirror and it works fine. :) I thought it was a VMWare issue. Obviously not! Edited December 19, 2011 by targetbsp
Guest iKrautDroid Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 just noticed i only have 2gig left on my ubuntu partition. Could this have anything to do with the problem? Maybe im just out of space? I guess Ill make some room and try your links advice. Thanks for the help
Guest targetbsp Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 I'm guessing as yours died at the same point as mine that you had the same issue as me and I had several GB left. Mine Ubuntu +CM7 is using about 22gb. Add to that your page file size, a few gb's for it to grow in and anything else you use Ubuntu for. I've gone for 30gb with a small page file. As well as the rather large amount of source code it uses a few gb's of space the first time it compiles (my 22gb includes that).
Guest iKrautDroid Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 Guess i need to grow my partition. Do I have to delete the "broken" source code? Where is it saved?
Guest targetbsp Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 I couldn't find a way to recover it. It kept complaining at all future attempts to repo sync. Assuming you're following this: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/ZTE_Blade:_Compile_CyanogenMod_(Linux) and have it in android\system, I just deleted and remade the system folder then cd'd into it, redid the repo init (from the mirror, not the cm wiki) and repo synced
Guest iKrautDroid Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 Thanks again! Ill repo sync & report back as soon as I can.
