Guest Rahul Patel Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 Hi I have noticed now with a couple for ROM's that occasionally my data switches off randomly resulting in no notifications of whatsapp's and emails, when I try use the web browser nothing seems to load also. The data won't start working again unless I restart the phone. Does anyone know why this keeps happening ? Thanks
Guest Roph Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 If you mention what ROMs it would be useful. I haven't seen the issue you're describing on MMHMP :)
Guest Davidoff59 Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 switching flight mode on then off again will reset the radios. bit faster than a reboot. It may be a provider issue also and not a rom issue. I know giffgaff had this issue for a while.
Guest Rahul Patel Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 currently using the fish & chips rom, switching flight mode on then off again will reset the radios. bit faster than a reboot. It may be a provider issue also and not a rom issue. I know giffgaff had this issue for a while.
Guest Davidoff59 Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 It just reread your initial post. You say It does this on various roms so its highly unlikely to be a rom issue. Rebooting the phone enables the internet again, which is resetting the radio, the same as turning on flight mode would. I would put it down to your sim provider. if its a new phone, take the phone back to the shop and complain about losing internet. If not, start complaining to your network provider.
Guest hecatae Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Which mobile network are you usimg
Guest unrandomsam Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 How do you know its random ? (I think its not likely to be random but in a certain (or perhaps multiple) situation). If I was you I would try the tele2 latest gingerbread stock rom (Install the lot might need to windows flash to gen2 first). I think using the radio for which the rom is designed (either zte gingerbread) or CM7 (gen2) might help.
