Camera Bug, can anyone solve this mystery?

This was mentioned some time ago in the CM7 thread, was under the impression this was fixed in the latest nightly but I could be wrong.

For instance none of the 2.3.5 roms I tested have this problem so I think it's all related to CM7.

its a bug, as I am using the same rom. I just put up with it due to having the phone set up as I want it.if we get a working version of ice, then I will move to that but its not worth it to me to flash a new rom to resolve the bug.

there are a few later night lies that fixed the bug. I think sej does some nightlies with it fixed but it will require flashing a new rom.

titanium backup will back up your apps if you decide to reflash.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the your input / replies, glad its not just me then... was begining to think it was something I had done to my phone personally?? As I did a search on Google and here, and couldnt find any threads about it ?? :(

So in a way Im glad its a known thing, if somewhat a little annoying... :( I first noticed it when I was in a shop and I tried to cheeky take a snapshot of an item I wanted to do a price-match before a swarm of Sales people came up and tried to waffle a sale out of me, and it took so long to get it focused, I gave up... :( lol

So yeah, ya saying its fixed now?? as I am sure I am on the latest Nightly, N257 (Android 2.3.7) of CM7 ? If not I shall try re-flashing the same ROM over the top of itself, to see if it fixes it as I dont fancy resetting everything just yet. I too, will make the sacrifice when ICS comes out for the Blade, but until then are happy to put up with it, just annoying.. :(

Thank you for clearing it up though... :)

Cheers, Lister

We are unlikely to see any more gingerbread night lies as the CMteam work on ICS. however, you will find later nightlies on here with bug fixes implemented.

I think Burstlam has a few out as well as others. I will grab the link to the post for you and post here.

I am also on nightly 257.

android.modaco.com/topic/335328-cyanogenmod-7-android-237-is-now-gen-2-only/page__st__11540

have a read of those last few pages to see what has been fixed and decide from there what you want to do.

Btw, reflashing 257 won't fix the bug as they were fixed in later nightlies on that link.

DavidOff59,

You sir, are a living legend.... thank you for the link. Downloaded the latest 7.2 ROM, flashed over the top (although I losted my Google account?? easy fixed, just flashed the Apps again.. and load Market - never understood why you cant add ya normal Google acc, only Corp or Exchange?? lol) anyway, all fixed now, camera bug an all.

7.2 is looking to be one of the greatest roms for me, not only it fixed the camera bug, it seems more complete too.

Thank you for posting back so quick, apologies for the delay... had to entertain my 4yr old nephew!! lol

Cheers, Lister

You need to flash gapps to get Gmail app as CM arent allowed to include it in the rom after a request from Google.

Dont thank me, thank the good people of Modaco. They share their knowledge and I merely passed it on.

Glad you are sorted out though

Hi DavidOff59,

The odd thing is though, I did have gMail, Market an all that on the phone before... I was half expecting the rom-install over the top, would merely update the OS, and leave the Apps alone, and not remove them (as I unselected all the clearing options in Rom Manager first) but still, no major loss, as ya say... jus a quick GApps and ya done ;)

And ya too moddest, without ya commenting on my thread I wouldnt of known so quick.... so thank you, and thank everyone for sharing the info.... thats what makes forums great, when everyone helps each other!! :)

Cheers, Lister
