Guest estocks Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Hi Are there any ROMs that don't have the proximity sensor bug? You know, the one that renders the phone screen completely black after a call, requiring a battery off reset? Seems like a pretty big flaw for a phone! Thanks.
Guest Atomix86 Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Atomic 2.0 is the only custom rom that works perfect from the outset with regards to the proximity bug.
Guest estocks Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Thanks, I don't mind a bit of fiddling or the odd *893*0#. All the other builds seem to be rendered useless after an incoming call. Will chuck the Atomic author a paypal donation if this actually works.
Guest acidsnake Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Stock ZTE Skate Rom works perfectly

You don't even have to calibrate it at all, it's good to go from installation.
Guest estocks Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Stock ZTE Skate Rom works perfectly It's full of Orange crapware and only has access to the market over 2G/3G. You don't even have to calibrate it at all, it's good to go from installation. Thanks rep'd :)

Guest PedroVader Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 (edited) It's full of Orange crapware and only has access to the market over 2G/3G. That's the Orange Stock Rom, Skate stock rom is free of operator tweaks and modifications, purely as ZTE intended. Edited December 23, 2011 by PedroVader
Guest Coffer52 Posted December 24, 2011 Report Posted December 24, 2011 Tried emode helper app, worked on the OSF
Guest metal.mickey Posted December 24, 2011 Report Posted December 24, 2011 had bags of trouble with this issue, but found it was actually a hardware fault. theres a free app in the market called "lights on" which will keep the screen alive for as long as you;re on a call, but you may find if youre a big talker your battery life will suffer. alternatively you can look in settings>acessibility>power button ends call which will end a call without a battery flip, but wont help you if youre on a callcentre "press 1 for ...press 2 for" and the screens gone off. it was a simple tradeoff for me, im not a big caller so its never gonna have a great effect on battery life. thanks to the forum member who put me onto "tasker" but its a paid for app (£3.99) merry christmas MM
Guest jd- Posted December 24, 2011 Report Posted December 24, 2011 Does it? I've never heard of this, no, not true. works fine over wifi!
