Guest wellibob Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 Hello people. I unlocked my zte monte carlo just fine following the instructions but it seems to have failed in the wifi mac address dept. Thing is now i dont seem to be able to get into FTM mode to fix this issue as my phone simple keeps booting into clockwork mode (what button method am i supposed to now use to get into FTM mode?) . Can anyone help me.... many thanks ;-)
Guest D3abL3 Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 To get FTM mode you must have a stock recovery installed.

Guest D3abL3 Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 (edited) You can flash it back using the method described here. Replace the provided clockworkmod.img inside the package for this one: http://min.us/mJvKGzhQq Edited December 28, 2011 by D3abL3

Guest victormun Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 I managed to sort it out in the end. Thanks for your assistance . How? I'm trying to get the FTM mode back but I'm unable to do it (even using D3abL3's hint).
Guest D3abL3 Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 Which recovery do you have? <3e>/<2e> or clockworkmod?
Guest victormun Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 Which recovery do you have? <3e>/<2e> or clockworkmod? At the moment, I have CWM v.4.0.1.4 (and CM7, if it's important). I flashed the file you said a few posts ago but still, I got no FTM (or I've no idea how to access it ), so I decided to return to CWM.

When you did the method I mentioned before you got stock recovery I presume. When you have stock recovery you automaticaly have FTM mode, to access it turn your phone off, get the battery out, connect your device to PC via USB and at the same time press & hold vol- until FTM shows in your screen. Well, I'm trying but Minus seems to be down (for more than 5 hours now)... O.O!

Guest wrtease Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 you seem to be having a lot of fun. just joking. just start again with tpt and that should sort it.

Guest wrtease Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 i think their is still away .if you change the recovery image .with the ftm image then you can get it to work .
