Bootloop - help please!

Hi,

I seem to have done something wrong and am now stuck in bootloop:

  • Stock ROM
  • Stock Kernel
  • Rooted

I tried to flash a bootanimation zip which I edited myself, and evidently did something wrong. If it helps, the file was the once from post #6 here. I had replaced the bootanimation.zip folder within it with a custom one, and then resigned with this.

I can boot into recovery (AmonRA 2.2) but not normally, just get a bootloop. Is there anything I can do other than a factory reset? I have a titanium backup of apps which I'd like to keep if possible...

Next time, before doing anything "dangerous" do a nandroid backup from recovery :)

You should have all your titanium data in sd so doing a wipe and / or reset should be ok :)

Best reset method to use?

I can get into AmonRA but nothing else.

Thanks, and I'll take the b/u advice btw. :)

Done. For anyone reading this in the future, I did a clean reboot (Power, then after it vibrates Vol+ and Vol- at the same time, and hold these; then follow instructions). Currently trying to reflash su to get Ti back, to restore.

Yesp, once rooted Ti was easy to install and it had remembered my backup.
