Guest mamboboy Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 (edited) Basically a few weeks ago I went out for a night out which ended up becoming a horrible drunken blur. I woke up the next day, recharged my phone assuming the battery was just dead... but then when I unplugged to use it the screen wasn't detecting my touch. If I squeeze the sides in the palm of my hand sometimes it'll start working again. But usually if the screen is pushed to an extent the touch messes up and say... pressing "M" on the OSD keyboard, will actually press "W" or a key not even close. Sometimes a completely different part of the screen so it closes the keyboard. If that makes sense? The screen isn't cracked or damaged... it's pristine. I've really looked after the phone so not sure what the hell is wrong with it. Also it came with a manufacturing fault when I received it (refurbish oled version) where the bottom of the screen is elevated ~1mm from the chassis. But that's never caused a problem... Anyone have any idea what it is? I'm 99% sure it's not ROM or app related as I've reinstalled different Cyonogenmod versions hoping that would sort it... any tips on what to do if I take the phone apart? Guest mamboboy Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 Fixed it now. For search purposes it was the digitizer that had failed as a new one has fixed it perfectly. It looked like it had rust of some sort on the actual copper so I guess I did get beer on it :P
