Would the ZTE Crescent be a good buy?

I'm considering plonking down another 99 pounds on an Orange San Fransisco II.

I see that the forum for this phone is picking up and custom ROMs are becoming available, but perhaps not at the fastest rate.

IMO the value of the San Fransisco has always been in the excellent community work.

Do you guys foresee the SF II gaining the same amount of interest and ROM work as the original San Fransisco? Or do you feel that the improvements in hardware are not sufficient to fuel a strong community?

The T Mobile Vivacity is the same phone, but better designed. I'd get that instead.

Actually I am not looking to upgrade. I will still continue to use my current Blade.

I need a second phone. Is the Crescent the best value proposition given the other options presently in the market?

The Vivacity looks good, however I heard the Crescent has better battery life.

Have you thought about the OMC? Currently in the sale at Argos for £89.99 + £10 top up. Very good upgrade for that price imo. I upgraded a few months ago and have definitely noticed an influx of new users on the Skate site over the last couple weeks or so. Also, last night's new version of Atomic seems a really good rom.
