Link2SD - Questions

Hi all,

I was wondering if someone could please explain some queries I have with regard to link2sd.

1) Link2sd shows that I have 46% (76mb) internal memory free where as the settings on the phone says I have 100mb free? Why is there a difference and which is correct?

2) I followed a howto on the forum and it said the apps should be linked to the SD cards second partition which I created. But in that case are the files actually stored on the SDcard? Because there's another option to "move to SD card" so what does this do? I thought this is the function I would be using? Also it appears that when I install an app, the storage of the internal memory decreases by the size of the app, as if its being stored there.

I'm a bit unclear on these two issues so would greatly appreciate your help.
