[Recovery] Moded Gen2 CWM recovery for racer

As the GEN2 recovery on podtwo doesn't work, I made some modification to it and came out it start to work.

all work base on the ZTE offical 2.1 kernel source and the clockwordmod Recovery for mooncake found in this forum.

But the USB Storage Mode still doesn't work(Mounts and storage-mount USB storage).

will turn up this error message " E:Unable to open ums lunfile (No such file or directory)". anyone knows what this is about ?

Tips:

1. 2 methods to enter FASTBOOT:

1) use this key combo: Send(call) +VOL(-); /works for TIM 2.2.2 :rolleyes:

2)

adb reboot bootloader

/phone no need to be rooted.

2. Even tough you could flash a GEN1 rom into your GEN2 phone via cwm recovery, it won't boot!:( So don't wast your time to try.

How did you flash this recovery? I have a Racer with 2.2.2 Brasil TIM firmware, and it seems there is no fastboot mode... can I use the Recovery Manager app from this forum?

EDIT2: nvm, I used Recovery Manager and it worked! Gonna try to install a custom ROM now...

yeah, there are latest gen2 recovery 4.0.1.5 on podtwo. but not work for gen2 racer :(. and seems Sebasian don't have a plan to release a fix for that.

4.0.1.5 does work but only through updating it (using .zip rather than .img) for gen1

must be a gen2 thing as usb storage/mounting works fine in 4.0.1.5 for me......the only issue is the key config if installing 4.0.1.5 cleanly using .img...........updating from any other version using .zip everthing works no probs....

have you changed anything in the source from zte and/or modified anything with mooncake gen2?
