Vibration and Haptic Feedback have stopped working

I've been using Cyanogenmod 7 for nearly as long as I've had the phone, but lately all vibration effects (on incoming call, sms, haptic feedback) would stop working. Even trying to test Haptic Feedback settings from inside the CyanogenMod Settings menu wouldn't produce any vibration. Vibration would randomly come back though. Now, for almost half a day, I don't have any vibration effects again, and they don't seem to be coming back. I've tried updating to the 257 nightly, nothing. Tried wiping all data, nothing. Tried updating to a 7.2.0 KANG build from December 29, still no vibration.

Hardware issue then? Anyone else had that?

I was thinking of getting it back to the stock rom and getting it serviced, but flashing the Stock ROM only resulted in the phone getting stuck on the green android logo, so I had to go back to Cyanogenmod.

Any other solutions?

I've been having what seems to be lucky-dip vibration on BladeGinger-Negaraku - sometimes it vibrates but mostly it doesn't.

Hey.. one more here where the haptic feedback and vibration gone.

No app installed nor battery changed... it simply stopped working.

Tried ON/OFF and reboots but still no luck.

Swype vibrates ok though.

Any ideias how to fix it?
