Guest Davidoff59 Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 I have just been looking around the market and found a free app called rom toolbox. I downloaded it and am amazed at how many apps are covered in here. It combines rom manager, backup, overclock, apps to SD and probably more. Can download themes, boot animations, change status bar icons etc. Can freeze apps, remove link to market, startup manager. While I have no affiliation to the app or developer, I am amazed I have not heard of it or seen mention of it given what it can do. Does anyone here use this and have you come across any issues using it on the blade? If I come across problems, I will report back here.
Guest Davidoff59 Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 So has anyone tried this? 200+ views and no responses.
Guest Davidoff59 Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 uploader bombing out so can only post one screen shot sorry.
Guest Maxsas360 Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 Not buying it. Features are cool, but I can do them myself manually and free.
Guest targetbsp Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 if I was just starting out in my Android career I'd be very interested in this. But I already have existing apps that do all of those things exceptionally well. :)

Guest targetbsp Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 (edited) I can't get terminal emulator to work. The included rom manager doesn't have any roms for our phone (unless in the paid version?) and super user is outdated the autostart manager does startup items only which is pretty useless on android. Autostarts is much better The root browser and app manager seem decent but I already have paid versions of Root Explorer and Titanium so... :) And It's paid. Most of the root apps I have are paid so if it was good it would be a cheaper way to do things. :) Edited January 15, 2012 by targetbsp
Guest Davidoff59 Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 (edited) screenshots are from free version. there is a paid version but I don't know what it offers over the free version. The free version does everything I need. have you tried it maxsas? Edited January 15, 2012 by Davidoff59
Guest Lister Of Smeg Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 Hi DavidOff59, Kinda like my post I guess, gets lots of views... but no replies? lol Anyway, yes... I've seen this App too, and used it also, I think its pretty awesome also, as it's basically Rom Manager, with loads of extra's, which I find useful. Sure enough, I do have other Apps that do some of these features, but then I installed them before I found this App. Its better to have less Apps on an Android device, as it slows down compared to having loads on an iOS device. So something that can do more features in one, always gets my vote!! :) Similar way, how I am still trying to look for that AppBox Pro app, and see if there is an Android equivelent.. I might contact the Dev of the iOS one, and see if he/she plans to code an Android version... ;) Cheers, Lister
Guest targetbsp Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 Kinda like my post I guess, gets lots of views... but no replies? lol Umm... people have to read the thread before knowing if they can help. When they decide they can't... what do you want them to do? Reply 'I don't know'? :D
Guest Lister Of Smeg Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 Hi TargetBSP, No, of course not... that would just clutter up the forum. What I mean/meant was, there are often times I have asked for help, stuff that to me, is confusing or clarification... and whilst its not noob like, its not rocket science either. And when I first arrived to these forums, after being told by my brother what a great community it was (and I did whitness it in the early days) I just feel sometimes people could answer if they wanted too, but sometimes just overlook/cant be bothered.... Not having a go, as its a nice forum here... just saying, sometimes waiting for an answer, can go off the radar (or forum page) ;) lol - as said, not a dig, just an observation of lately... Cheers, Lister Umm... people have to read the thread before knowing if they can help. When they decide they can't... what do you want them to do? Reply 'I don't know'? :D
Guest targetbsp Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 (edited) Ah I see what you mean. I think the forum is just too busy. I used to read pretty much everything in the early days. But now I mostly only read the thread of the rom I'm using (CM7) and those in development I may use in the future (ICS AOSP and CM9). I only really look at other posts (including this entire parent forum - I normally stay in roms) when I have a lot of free time. Edited January 17, 2012 by targetbsp
