Guest miguelams Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 Hey. I used a program to calibrate the battery and it says it is suggested to leave the phone until the battery minimum (15% for example) and then have to charge up to 100% without unplug. Is it really necessary? Because I have it at 40% and I need it to school tomorrow and would put charge right now.
Guest Roph Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 Lithium Ion batteries don't experience the memory effect in the same way that Nickel Metal Hydride batteries do, feel free to charge it whenever you like :)

For the program to accurately report battery status, it needs to calibrate correctly, i.e. it needs to know the exact state of the battery at it's lowest and it's highest capacity. If you don't drain the battery enough the porgram can't accurately tell you the state of your battery. Miguelams, since you need to use the phone I would charge it up, but if you want to use the program you will need to follow it's instructions another time to let it calibrate correctly.
