Guest matlock Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 Hi I've got an oled SF which I rooted / unlocked about a year ago, and was wondering the best method to upgrade the current 2.1 rom (MoDaCo Custom Rom for Orange San Francisco r4 (OUK_P729BV.0.0B05)) and clockwork recovery 2.5.0.9. I would like to get to andorid 2.3 or above so that I can run apps from the sd card. Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Mat
Guest Amphoras Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 Use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1258855 to convert to Gen 2, then you can install any Gen 2 gingerbread rom. There are also a couple of gingerbread roms that work on Gen 1, but by upgrading you'll have a better choice.

Thanks for the quick reply, would I have to update clockwork recovery to a newer version (currently 2.5.0.9) first, if so how.? (is there a guide) Cheers Mat
Guest Amphoras Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 If you upgrade to Gen 2 using the method in that thread, it will install a correct version of Clockwork as part of the upgrade. If you're using one of the ones that work on Gen 1, it might be ok with that version, but I don't know for sure.
