Guest suj69 Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 Just flashed my Blade with CM 7.1. Overall works pretty good with 16 bit transparency enabled and using Launcher Pro rather than the included ADW launcher. Problem - When setting up my Hotmail as an Exchange account, HTML emails are only displayed as plain text? Images are also not shown. There is also no button to "Load more details" as I get on my stock Galaxy S, for exmaple. The HTML source code itself is not shown, the HTML just isn't rendered. Anyone know what the cause/fix for this is?
Guest Sgl Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 Whilst Hotmail does now support Exchange ActiveSync it only ‘offically’ supports version 2.3 (Exchange 2003 SP2) http://windowsteamblog.com/windows_live/b/windowslive/archive/2010/08/30/hotmail-now-supports-push-email-calendar-and-contacts-with-exchange-activesync.aspx I say ‘offically’ as both iOS devices and now the offical Hotmail app both seem to be able to get HTML emails whilst the built in mail app can’t! I personally just use the Hotmail app, as I can’t see any downsides to it. The contacts and calendar are synced too. Sam
Guest suj69 Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 Hmm fair enough. So what have Samsung modified in the Galaxy S "stock" email app that isn't in the CM one. Would it be possiblebto replace the CM mail app with the Galaxy S one?
