Guest gomes29 Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 Hi community, sorry to start a new topic but after a long searching I cant found the answer.... I did a ext3 partition in my sd-card and now I need to remove that partition... What I need to do??? I already did 'format sd-card' and 'format sd-ext' in recovery but the ext3 partition still there... I'm on CM7 and I used S2E... I'm pretty sure that is a easy answer but its very hard to search.. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL BTW!!! and help me if you know how to do it...

I think it will wipe your entire SD card in the process.

I just have the zero option on the choose of the swap size....My ClockworkMod Recovery is the v3.0.2.4. I really need help because i'm trading the sd card and I need the space of the sd-ext partition... any way to do that???

If all esle fails, you can always use a partition editor on your computer if you plug the sd card in somehow. not sure if that will work over usb but you can try.
Guest doogsville Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 I would buy a USB SD card reader for your PC if you don't have one already, it's useful for taking backups of your SD card in case it fails in the future anyway. Plug the SD card into the PC and use some kind of drive management software to remove the partition. I use MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition, not sure if putting the URL here is allowed, so I won't, you'll have to Google it. It's free and quite easy to use, but of course there are lots of others available, and you might already have one.
