Guest Paul Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 Koushik Dutta, developer of ClockworkMod Recovery, ROM Manager and DeskSMS has released an Alpha version (i.e. 'early testing!') of his forthcoming new application, 'ClockworkMod Tether'. What, you may ask, makes this application any different from the other tether apps out there on the Market? The USP of ClockworkMod tether is that it works on unrooted devices using some magic via ADB, the Android Developer Bridge feature present on all Android devices. Hurrah! The tether is currently for USB connections only, although Koush is looking to add Bluetooth support in a forthcoming release. Full details can be found in this Google+ post. The application should work with Windows, Mac OS X and Linux! Give it a try, let us know how you get on and remember to feed back to Koush too. Guest unrandomsam Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 Its fairly easy to do any type of tethering you might want using the command line and a proxy running on the phone. (Advantage if you use something fairly obscure or stick it over a suitable vpn). Don't really agree with people really abusing tethering though. Is this adware again ?
