Guest neilg Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 All, I cant find the thread where someone else posted, but FYI I got a replacement SPV this morning for my 'stuck in headset profile' unit. Details are: Operator:1.1.6.0 Manufacturer 1.1.6.0 Microsoft 3.0.12255.0 Language 1.1.6.0 File System 3.0.12255.0 I think from memory this is the same as the original back in November but I have packed off my old SPV already before checking (Doh!) Only percievable difference is the screen backlight seems much dimmer and has a blue tinge to it that my last one didnt have - knowing my luck the replacement has a duff backlight! :)
Guest xanadu Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 This is still the original ROM version you have. I have mentioned in another post that replacement phones still have the original ROM version, and will still need updating when you get a replacement phone.
Guest neilg Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 sorry - I couldnt find the other post and I thought someone mentioned recently that they had a replacement shipped with the (pending) update - thought I would just post it to see if mine was any newer (some chance!) now do I dare plug my handsfree back in.......... ;) :)

Some are blue-er than others, my first replacement was so blue it ruined the colour of the phone. The power-button of my latest replacements seems to be easier to push.
Guest neilg Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 ;) it ruins the effectivness of Paul's 'Torch' App!!! :)
