Guest RogerThat Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 I followed all the right steps on the website for cyanogen mod 7 but when I went to install the update in clockwork mod it won't install and comes up with this error message. assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "v9" II getprop("ro.build.product") == "v9" II getprop("ro.product.board") == "v9" E:error in /sdcard/update-cm-7.1.0-v9-siqned.zip (status 7) Installation aborted. most of that was probably entirely useless but I think status 7 might be a significant thing, help would be extremely appreciated as I have no phone at the moment which is a very bad situation for me, I tested my phone with mr pigfish and it was gen 1 but could I have the wrong gen download perhaps? Thanks in advance :D also when I try to reboot it gets stuck on the android logo until I boot into clockwork mod :(
Guest ColdEmbrace Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 The latest versions of CM7 are Gen2 they have been Gen2 only for a while, you will need to TPT to Gen2 which is easy enough for download and flash a Gen1 ROM
Guest RogerThat Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 (edited) how would I upgrade to gen 2 through clockworkmod? Edited January 6, 2012 by RogerThat
Guest Amphoras Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 First of all, you're trying to install CM7 for the V9 tablet, which is not the same as the ZTE Blade phone, so you need to go and download the one for the blade, it will have "blade" in the filename. Second of all, you need to convert to Gen 2 before it will work. You can either do that following the instructions here, or by using the app in my signature.
Guest sujith thycattussery Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 v9 is the tablet version. you should download the blade version of cm7 for your zte blade from this link http://download.cyan...le&device=blade
