Guest l2azor Posted January 7, 2012 Report Posted January 7, 2012 (edited) hi guys.. a bit of weird piece though..i have a dell xcd35 which comes in 2 variants in india viz. the LEAD and TRULY lcd screen types mine is LEAD which supports a max of 45 fps and the latter supports 60fps max..two of my fiends bought same fone after 2 months i had bought and they got the TRULY ..i have actually tested with fps software the 45fps and 60fps thingy.. my fone is still covered under warranty but i need a reason to take it to the service center so that they can replace and i get a new one with 60fps TRUL:Y screen :D so can anyone tell me how can i try to bring a defect in my fone so that i can take it to service center?? If you want to totally brick it, you could flash a TPT mixing files for different gens, you could windows flash something for another phone, you could microwave it (dunno what would happen if you did that one), etc. etc.

Guest hedgepigdaniel Posted January 8, 2012 Report Posted January 8, 2012 do a windows flash, but open oemsbl.mbn in a text editor and delete random chunks of it first. I'm fairly sure tht will render it completely useless and unrecoverable.

I have a dell xcd35 dont know which type if ur on stock rom(or any other rom with zte dialer) dial this *983*24474636# it will how ur screen type..LEAD or TRULY..moreover u can download fps software from market and it will show the max fps supported by ur screen.. homescreen scroling is much smoother in the 60fps one (both using same rom same launcher same MHZ cpu..same everything)... can i make it partially prolematic?? like spoil the power buton or any other button or anything like that..bcoz they get a new handset for me and till the time i will use the mine one ...coz right now am on burstlam's 19dec odexed rom which is awesome and ofcourse i will flash the stock del xcd35 rom(with FTM stock recovery) and unroot it ..so that wen the service center guy reflashes the stock rom just to check if the software was the problem..it shub not be rendered correct.. so in a nutshell it needs to be a partial hardware problem.. which i can call it as factory defect...
