Fitting an external antenna socket to the phones case

I live in a poor signal reception area and have been trying to increase the signal reception on my Blade ( 900Mhz 3G ) . I have an external roof antenna for the correct 900MHZ band , and have tried a passive cradle similar to this one -

the results a small increase in signal strength .

I just spotted this shot below , showing the Blades internal antenna connections -

and wondered if any one had some how used these internal antenna connections to connect an external antenna, may be by fitting a small antenna socket to the Blades case?
