Hey guys ,i bought my dad a skate for christmas, and as content as i am with using android as it was meant to be (dragging and dropping), my dad wondered if there was a desktop suite like he used to have (he used Ovi Suite for his nokia C3), to manage his texts ,his contacts and his files ?

are there any that work with the skate properly,or is he just going to have to use android as it was meant to be?

I'm using qtadb, should be able to track it down through Google, I'm out and about, can't remember exactly where I found it.

Works fine with USB debugging on, you can back up and install apps through it, and if you install the SMS client on your skate, you can access messages on your desktop too. Not sure about contacts, but I organise mine through Gmail.

Try Airdroid, really easy to use. Connects through wifi and you can access the phone from the browser.
