Guest Janfri Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 I was using Atomic Rom during several weeks without any problem. today I found some old vodafone sim cards and I put them in my OMC to try to copy the contacts. But I did not remember the sim codes, so I put the orange sim card back into the phone and after restart and after introducing my sim code the phone asks me for a Sim network unlock pin, which never before had happened. There is also no keyboard. the keyboard only appears after pushing the middle buttom. But the numbers do not work. Only some of the (few) keys on the special keys page work. So I ask myself what to do. I am grate ful for any suggestions or advice. I wonder how could this happen with an already unlocked phone...

You can reboot into clockworkmod and do a factory reset then your problem will be solved but you will use your data :) Or install the new version of atomic, but if you dont want to lose your data etc. You could make a backup first and then try the wipes separatly. Thx man, but I already did all wipes and nothing: It wants a network unlock key.:( And it never want that before, nor before nor after flashing. Best, Stefan

Best, Stefan Weird i only had tis on cyanogenmod 7 a early buid. i have no clue what you could do else than installing the newest version of atomic.
Guest rjm2k Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 (edited) Is your sim in correctly? I accidently put mine in the wrong way round at one point and rather than saying such it seemed to think there was a sim but that it had issues. Failing that I guess you could retry the unlock flash or a different rom. Edited January 16, 2012 by rjm2k

Best, Stefan This morning I went to the Orange seller where I bought my OMC and she told me that they have no unlock codes and that the only possibility is to send the phone in to the technical service. Does anybody have an idea on how to fix this without technical service? I think my problem can happen to everybody, because I did not do nothing strange, It just happened after inserting a vodafone card into the phone. And I thought that the phone running with Atomic and superuser rights was really unlocked and "free". But now it is more locked than ever.:( I now cant even connect the phone to my PC with USB, because I have to introduce the network unlock key before...

And even more strange, if I had a code, how should I introduce it without a working keyboard. There are no numbers working and just a few keys like brakcets... Edited January 16, 2012 by Janfri

Have you tried flashing to an other ROM in clockworkmod?
Guest Janfri Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 Have you tried flashing to an other ROM in clockworkmod? Yes, I flashed to the "original" Orange Rom I found here in the forums, and I flashed again first to Atomic 3 and then to Atomic 4 doing all wipes, but nothing. It must something resident in the phone, but again, if I had a sim network unlock code, I could not introduce it, because the numeric keys dont work, although the keys on the emergency call pad work.:( At least clockworkmod is working, because as I already said, I cant even connect the phone to Windows.

Y finally finished booting installing CyanogenMod 9 Nightlies for ZTE Skate . The phone did not ask for network unlock pin, so at least I can reach the configuration settings. There is no network anyway. Flashing back to Atomic, same error, I cant finish booting because the phone asks for sim network unlock code. Do you think it is possible to flash the phone again booting with Cyanogen? Will this fix the problem? Back to CyanogenMod9 Under Status I see that almost everything is unknown, network, mobile network type, service state: out of service, my phone number: unknown, etc. If I select Orange under available networks it does not connect.. If I put the sim card in my old cellphone (without android) the phone works and I can call. Edited January 16, 2012 by Janfri
Guest arnoldziq Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 Can you read IMEI with *#06* code ? It is match with those on a label under battery ?
Guest Janfri Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 I FINALLY MANAGED TO RESET IT TOTALLY. Cynogenmod9 was the solution. Y connected the phone to windows and followed the steps described by tilal6991:Google "QPST 2.7 Build 366". Click the first link and download the file beside "QPST 2.7 Build 366" and install it.Download this file and unzip it.Connect your phone to your computer and make sure that you have USB Debugging turned onGo into “Preparation” folder and run the “install-recovery-windows.bat”. This should flash stock recovery and reboot the phone.Remove your battery and disconnect the USB cableNow as you connect the phone to your computer press the volume down button. Don’t let go of the volume button until “FTM” comes up on your phone After that my phone started with the default Orange setup and my phone is back.:) Thank you very much for your support!
