Is there a quicker way to access bookmarks in ICS rather than swipe down then display windows then bookmarks?

Hmm, also eluding me is how to find text in a web page?

What else is a bit s*** with ICS?

I've never understood people complaining about built in apps. The whole point of it is that you can instead use an app you do like. :D

I remember having a discussion with someone on another forum over the utter irrelevance of the fact that he didn't like the keyboard on the Skate. He was an iPhone user in his defence where you can't just replace the things you don't like.

Hehe, I knew that was coming.

I've tried most of the main browser contenders. Maybe I should revisit them. Just got on well with "Browser" in gingerbread.

Nobody is forcing me to upgrade to ics. Question was more about usability. Thought i might be missing something.

Must admit though I was having a little poke at ics to see if the emperor had any clothes on.

Try "ICS browser plus". It's the default app with a few extras including easier access to your bookmarks.

To find text in the default browser, menu -> allow. They mixed up some strings.

No that's not the whole point. That shouldn't be an excuse for sucky default apps. If you need to replace it even for something as simple as accessing your bookmarks easily than something is seriously wrong. So please don't make excuses for it. Changing default apps is a feature not a requirement.

Do you still use IE in your Windows then? Because that's exactly the same thing. People don't like IE so they install a different browser, not a different OS. I'm not sill using Windows 98 because I prefer Outlook Express 6 to Windows Live mail. I've upgraded OS and use a third party mail client.

No-one seems to have ever heard of it but I find Angel to be the only browser that meets all my requirements. It seems to be the best at formatting pages to fit the screen.
