Guest qwertymz Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 Hi all, Does anyone know where I can get a back cover designed for the ZTE Skate to replace my bland/ugly Orange one? Failing that, how do I successfully remove the Orange logo? Thanks.
Guest Colibri Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 Failing that, how do I successfully remove the Orange logo? Thanks. Sugar cube works wonders. Rub one on it for about 20 minutes and it'll go away :)

Guest Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 just buy the s-curve case and you will forget all about that horrible back cover.
Guest rjm2k Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 just buy the s-curve case and you will forget all about that horrible back cover. I hope that's a better s-curve case that the one I got which obscures some of the ports and is generally cheap and nasty
Guest qwertymz Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 I have a blue S-curve case which only covers the Orange logo, making it look especially strange. Does the sugar cube trick really work? I would love to buy a new back, but can't find any on eBay!

You can get a ZTE back cover which is rubberised and not the shiny finger magnet of the OMC. Otherwise, there are now jelly cases or hard cases available to buy.
Guest FatLadZ Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 t-cut 5 mins flat no scratches  :)
Guest qwertymz Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 Ujokin'? BLUE HYBRID HARD BACK SKIN CASE & STYLUS FOR ORANGE MONTE CARLO/V960 ZTE SKATE | eBay That's a cover though; I was hoping to replace the whole back rather than just "cover it up". Have you tried Googling ZTE Skate accessories? You can get a ZTE back cover which is rubberised and not the shiny finger magnet of the OMC. Otherwise, there are now jelly cases or hard cases available to buy. No luck for me - I keep on finding covers, whereas I'm looking for an actual replacement "back".

Guest eLJay Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 (edited) T CUT BRASSO METAL POLISH CIF YOULL FIND ANY ABRASIVE creme will work better than a sugar cube! and be alot faster I followed the link for the sugar cube link got to a German site and was linked straight back to modaco with a 2003 hint for C500 metal cased phones... http://windows.modac...theorange-logo/ just goes to show. What I actually just removed the orange logo with was gently using the edge of an old style 1p coin (made from copper) and then cleaned it lightly with silver polish and then washing up liquid. I caused no scratches which in a way slightly highlights the slight ones already on the phone or caused by our sausage fingered network manager when I showed him the phone and he proceeded to drop it, but only at an angle in a strong light.
