it is possible to change the colour of the numbers but it takes ages...

wot you do is, load all the battery.png's into gimp

click the layer tab, then select duplicate layer, you should see in the box to the right your two layers with options to change visibility and stuff.

click on one of the eyes so one is only visible, now make sure the visible one is selected by clicking it.

now all you do is use the eraser to remove everything but the numbers.

select the colors tab, and select colorize... use the sliders to get the colour you need then press ok.

now click the eye on this layer to make it invisible, select the other layer and make it visible

now with this you use the eraser to erase just the numbers.

make both layers visible and see the result, click the layer tab and select merge down.

save.

What exactly do you want from there ? There seems to be a few options.

edit: ok I made a mod,and what it does is let you see the battery percent as your charging.Is that what you want ?
