Guest vNa5h Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 1.Is changing the partition layout 10 128mb/136mb/160mb permanent ...i mean one time procedure... so next time i flash/wipe/format from CWM any other custom ROM the partition layout will be intact? 2. Which is better link2sd / darktremor a2sd / s2e... googled like hell regarding this.... but couldnt get a satisfying explanation.... i found link2sd to be the easiest...and latest (jan2 2012)
Guest ColdEmbrace Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 I answered S2E purely because of your question, but I use Link2SD. S2E copies everything over Link2SD allows you to specify which apps you want to move therefore giving you control.

It will be changed if you flash another TPT. Not sure if your two questions are related or not, but the partition layout change from the TPT (giving the sizes you listed) doesn't need any of the things in the second question to work. Its the phones internal memory that's been changed. If they are separate and you're talking about the ext partition on your sdcard, I find S2E pretty good. It lets you move everything over, but if you wanted more control on a per app basis then link2sd might be better (never used that one before). S2E also only works on CM roms, not on everything.

Guest Amphoras Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 It depends what rom you're wanting to use. If you're wanting to make sure you have room for all of them, 160 is probably better. If you're going to a specific rom, then you might be able to use a smaller one.
Guest targetbsp Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 You're gonna want 160 to play with the ICS builds if you intend to.
