Guest Wacky.ddw Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 (edited) My friends are still on bluemonte a october release and i want to update them both to Atomic4 They both want the same keyboard, apps and skins. But i dont want to do it all again so i just want to restore a nandroid to there phone, but then my google account wil still be under "Settings > Accounts & sync settings" but when i press "Remove account" i get: This account is required by some applications. You can only remove it by resetting the phone to factory defaults (wich deletes all your personal data). You do that in the settings application, under Privacy. Ok Is there anyway arround it? I know you could allso use titanium backup but its still not the same then a pre-configuered nandroid. Thanks in advance :) Edited January 20, 2012 by Wacky.ddw

Guest tillaz Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 have your tried adding there account first, then removing your account ?
Guest Atomix86 Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 have your tried adding there account first, then removing your account ? It will still be able to detect the market links from the account so that won't work.
Guest jcmyall Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Add their account. install Titanium backup, use the marketplace tools to destroy all marketplace links?
Guest Wacky.ddw Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Add their account. install Titanium backup, use the marketplace tools to destroy all marketplace links? No it did not work, the only way is to flash a new ROM or do factory reset :(
Guest mike williams Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 I found this worked for me (can't remember where I found the info). 1. Download Root Explorer from Android Market 2. Explore to /data/system/ and find this file : accounts.db 3. Delete that file (accounts.db) 4. Reboot your Android device. 5. Walla…you can register another account
