Guest nabby21 Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 (edited) I recently installed moldovan mile high on my san francisco via TPT. Everything seemed fine, now all of a sudden, i keep getting this message Keep getting "application has stopped unexpectedly", on alarms, launcher pro etc. It is becoming really annoying and problematic, to normal use of my phone. Could someone please please help! Thankyou. Edited January 23, 2012 by nabby21
Guest oxyg3n89 Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 launcher pro does not work properly on some roms i tried, especially when using on screen widgets. moldovan,cm7, swedish winter..all keep fc closing it after some time. however on cm7 setting amount of ram per app to 48mb helped a little. other features like keep in memory all time were useless. solution: try adw ex or other launchers.
Guest Davidoff59 Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 usually caused by not wiping data fully before flashing new rom or recovering backed up apps.

Whereas I did completely wipe the phone via clockwork recovery, I did backup apps and restore. Why would app restoration cause this? What's the point off backup and restore if it causes faults? And finally is solution to just reinstall apps fresh?
Guest Davidoff59 Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 I think moldovan uses a newer kernel. You are backing up an app that was installed on a different version. I imagine reinstalling the app, and then restoring the data only should be ok. The points made above are the only times I have seen force closure issues.

It's not recommended to restore app data on a new/fresh rom.
Guest oxyg3n89 Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 (edited) have never had problems while restoring data on any new rom. for 4 months now.Titanium was made for that! launcher pro may be exception then, will try install from market. but there are many other feedback about FCs launcher pro too.. It's not recommended to restore app data on a new/fresh rom. Edited January 23, 2012 by oxyg3n89
Guest nabby21 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Thats why I was confused, though this is what titanium was used for? So if i re-install all apps by hand, it should be ok? Is it then okay to restore data?
Guest oxyg3n89 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 there is no guarantee everything gonna work. but should, thought..using hypershell does save time when restoring apps. and making a backup for configured new apps on fresh rom does help to restore them in future on new rom:)
