Guest Mark Dearlove Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 Google and MIT have released an initial version of the source code for Google's unsupported App Inventor. The code will be available to developers although MIT are not accepting any code contributions for the time being. The folks at MIT are currently working on a project to deploy a large scale, publicly accessible server in order to allow developers to offer contributions in the future. MIT's own code updates will be released publicly on their code site, and developers will be able to use 'App Inventor' freely as part of their own projects. You can grab the code from here, and there is a Google Group set up here for discussions. If like me you want to get into Android App development but your programming skills are a little on the rusty side, App Inventor may well help you improve your knowledge and get your apps out on to the market. Guest Matty-p Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Mark i am pretty sure that apps made in app inventor cannot be submitted to the market but i stand to be corrected if anything has changed.
