Guest Anthony1989 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 (edited) I've followed Wackys tutorial on how to change the splash screen but i this is what i get once i go to install from zip sd card: Installing update... assert failed: getprop("re.product.device") == "blade". I get this 3 times then under it says: E: Error in /sdcard/zxandroidboot.zip (status 7) installation aborted. Was wondering if anybody could shine a light onto this? i have used a pic from xda website and used GIMP as stated in wackys tutorial but still to no availe. I'm pretty new to the android scene so sorry if this is a stupid question or anything. Im running the Orange monte carlo. Edited January 24, 2012 by Anthony1989

I am assuming you are not unzipping the zip? and that you are using winrar or 7zip to perform the replacement.

I would say the zip file you downloaded is corrupt. Download one of mine which are in the link above and place your image in the zip and it should work then.
Guest Anthony1989 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Thank you. Just tried it with one of your zips and it worked fine :) thanks for all your help mate.
