Guest kn100 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 So I noticed sometimes my Skate is ridiculously loud, more than loud enough for even the biggest headphones. On other occasions it's weak just like every other phone I've ever had. I figured out a pattern. Set a song playing in media player, plug in headphones, ring something with the song playing (credit number will do), then hang up. Enjoy the song now being much, much louder. Don't ask me why it works, it just does xD For reference, I am running the newest version of At0mic.

Guest kn100 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Yes but the EQ can only do so much, since all it's doing is boosting the levels of the song being played. This trick actually boosts the output power of the phone considerably, try it, you'll see what I mean
Guest H3ROS Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 (edited) No difference at all here, but then again mines very loud anyway. You're not using iphone or blackberry headphones are you since they do have audio issues. I don't use the EQ because in my opinion it's kinda crap. Instead I use Headset Profiler to give my headphones their own audio profile and then I use PlayerPro with the DSPPack for clearer audio. I've also managed to toggle an option for Dolby audio, although I'm not sure if that works. Edited January 31, 2012 by H3ROS
Guest kn100 Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 nah using Sony inears but this has worked for nmme onother headphones. can you explain your setup in more detail?
Guest NorthernNoel Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 I've had the same problem so will give it a go. Had a bluetooth adapter in the car that plugs into a 3.5mm jack. Sound is nice and loud through that. If I plug the jack direct into the headphone socket it's pretty quiet.
Guest H3ROS Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 (edited) @ kn100 I use Atomic V4 and I have the EQ disabled.I run Headset Profiler so that each time I plug my headphones in the volume goes to 100% and then when they're unplugged it goes back to whatever they were prior to plugging them in.When playing music I use PlayerPro with the free DSPPack addon from the market. It makes the audio sound clearer, even with the EQ itself disabled.I use Klipsch S4 headphones Edited January 25, 2012 by H3ROS
Guest NorthernNoel Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Well I tried it but no difference, it's still quieter. I'm using Poweramp with no EQs enabled in there or on the phone. It's on Atomic 3c
Guest TouchyAndalou Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Tilal was talking about updating his blueginger rom, which would be a current rom with Dolby sound. Hope so, as the sound is significantly better than roms built on 2.3.5
Guest Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 (edited) Tilal was talking about updating his blueginger rom, which would be a current rom with Dolby sound. Hope so, as the sound is significantly better than roms built on 2.3.5 I know tillaz does not support bluemonte no more....but it would be cool if someone could continue the work on that rom too, with tillaz consent of course :) Not saying bluemonte needs any work done to it,but a few extra tweaks can do no harm. Where did tilal speak of updating blueginger ? That would be cool. I am thinking of getting a blade2...do love my blades :) Only reason is that my camera is forked on my omc. But with all the development here I may get another skate...But then again, tilal is working on ICS for the cresent too. Edited January 31, 2012 by Guest
Guest Droid 007 Posted February 26, 2012 Report Posted February 26, 2012 I have been experiencing same low sound via headset regardless which ROM I use. One thing I noticed is that there is a button on my headset and if I continue pressing the sound is much better and louder. But the problem is I cannot forever keep holding the button. Can this be fixed in the ROM in some way?
Guest FatLadZ Posted February 26, 2012 Report Posted February 26, 2012 do you not use the equalizer ? THIS it works a treat :)
