Guest Agavegeoff Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Hi, All. Why 3 terminals on a phone battery, guess they all have them. My Orange San Francisco was being hell to live with, battery hardly lasted a day and more often than not would fail to switch on without removing the battery. Google Sky watch did cause it to red line about 3 times untill I realized I had not switched the app off. If the battery is divided into 2 halves then if one half is more damaged than the other, who knows what problem it might cause. Cheers Geoff
Guest vanepico Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 (edited) Third contact is a serial connection to a device that tells the phone how much capacity is in the battery. Go on ebay, they are very cheap Edited January 24, 2012 by vanepico
Guest Agavegeoff Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 Third contact is a serial connection to a device that tells the phone how much capacity is in the battery. Go on ebay, they are very cheap I have a new battery in phone now. All data off, no games, just text and phone bit on. New battery after 5 charges is now up to 2 days and 6 hours before needing charger on today. Phone on cell standby all that time. Also it has switched on every time I wanted it to. So life improving...
Guest vanepico Posted January 26, 2012 Report Posted January 26, 2012 It's sad but true that batteries just don't last any time anymore, better batteries means larger batteries which companies don't want, my main phone will last maybe 5 days going on facebook and checking my uni timetable every day.
