Guest zaphan58 Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 A few days ago I got a spam message in the notification area saying "your batter is losing charge, tap here" which I've attached a screenshot of. I installed AVG to see if it could find what is causing it but it made not difference. Anyone else getting this and know how to remove it? See picture attached..
Guest Amphoras Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 One of your apps is using Airpush or a similar ad network. Instead of adverts inside the app, it pushes them to the notification area. You should be able to opt out of receiving them at the address it tells you. Alternatively you can uninstall the app that's generating them. There are apps on the market that can detect which app can make these ads. Or you can click the advert, then look hold the home button to see the recently used apps. The one that generated the ad will be listed there.
Guest Andyroid Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 (edited) This one sorted the same issue for me. Airpush Detector ps What ROM are you running? dont recognise the icons in your piccy. B) Edited January 25, 2012 by Andyroid
