Sat Nav and in-car charging

Whenever i use google maps my battery drains like crazy, just wondering if I had it plugged in my car would I be able to keep it on or would it drain so fast that it would still run out of battery while charing in car.

you will need a certain car charger. Most put out something like 400-500ma so you will need something that puts out over 700ma I think. Its probably an amp you need bit I'm sure someone will come along and confirm or correct me as I am not certain.

I got one of these when they were Belkin branded.. pretty much the same kit and gives you 1000mA which is the minimum you need for charging whilst using SatNav etc

Spot on, an amp charger sorted that issue out for me.
