Guest Mark Dearlove Posted January 26, 2012 Report Posted January 26, 2012 Chinese manufacturer ZTE have had some success in Europe with their low cost Android handests, in fact so much so that the ZTE device forums here on MoDaCo are the most active on the site. Last month ZTE announced the release of the Light Tab 2 in Hong Kong, Spain and Indonesia. Now Clove Technology have opened pre-orders for the device with a launch price set at £234.99. They expect shipping to start next month. Specs and more details after the break! The Light Tab 2 isn't the most advanced tablet out there, but for the price the specs are relatively decent -particularly with 3G as a standard feature: 7" Capacitive Touchscreen DisplayGoogle Android 2.31.4GHz Processor - no specifics on this from ZTE or CloveWiFi3G4GB ROM12.6mm ThickRear facing 3.2 Megapixel CameraFront facing 0.3 Megapixel Camera3400mAh Battery Its surprising that ZTE went with Gingerbread rather than Honeycomb here, however it is unlikely to be long before our community release a Honeycomb ROM. You can find the stock ROM, rooting info and USB drivers on this thread. Source: Clove This item was promoted to the News page - click here to view.
