Guest yockick Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 Hi All, I've got a Monte Carlo with Atomic's latest ROM. The phone charges super fast with the supplied charger, but I needed a spare so used a USB cable and a spare HTC usb charger. The HTC usb charger is rated at 1A and when I connect the USB lead to it, the phone reads that it is connected to AC power. However after 7hrs of charging its barely charged 30-40%! I thought the usb charger was to fault so I used an iPhone usb charger, and I got the same results - 7hrs = 30-40% charge! But the charger supplied with the phone (which is also a USB charger + USB lead) seems to charge the phone in a few hours flat! Can someone give any advice as to what's happening? Thanks!
Guest bartvdv Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 (edited) perhaps the usb cable has bad soldering if you exchange the usb cables what happens then ? I use A HTC charger 1a and it chargers faster than the ZTE 0,7 A charger ... 4 hours from 10% to 100% and I have a 2 amp charger with 2 usb connectors and when i use that with only one phone it's back to 100% in less than 2 hours ... anyhow exchange the cable ... a 0.5 ohm resistance at 1 amp make you lose about 0.5 volt, 1 ohm 1 volt and then it won't charge Edited January 30, 2012 by bartvdv
