Guest viluDense Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 First of all Hi guys this is my first post and i have to say THANKS everyone for this amazing web. Ok. Now I have to tell you that i´m from spain so i'm sorry for my bad english. If you can speak clearly so I can understand you in my posts I will be very thaksful. So here it goes: How many time do your skates take to boot? i mean, how long it takes to load the pin code screen? In my case I've made some tries and the results I got are awfull. It depens. Some times (the most horrible ones) it takes more than 2 mins. I think that this can be due s2e. I'll explain it. I think that ''S2E'' uses the boot of the phone to move the data to the sd. (please correct me if i'm wrong). Other not so awful times it takes about more than 1 min to load wich I think its veeery veery long time. So what about your phones? is mine normal or there is something wrong? If there is any tutorial about how to improve this aspect make me know it. Thanks for your time. I hope to write clearly and that you will understand it all. ___________________________ Zte Skate: Root. CyanogenMod 7. S2E to move the data to the sd card. Clockword mod v4.1.....
Guest Ipecac9 Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 I run CM7 Ice Armor and booting time is normally around one minute or so, but just as you say it varies from time to time. I think it is pretty normal.
Guest tilal6991 Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 You can disable the boot animation to make booting super fast. Google the tweak.
Guest viluDense Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 First thanks for your answers. I will like to have more answers to see if every skate takes so looong time. but any case I think that looking for a way to make the bot faster could be very interesting. You can disable the boot animation to make booting super fast. Google the tweak. What do you reffer to? if you let us know where did you find that information it will be great.

Guest tilal6991 Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 Add this line to build.prop: debug.sf.nobootanimation = 1
Guest viluDense Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 Add this line to build.prop: debug.sf.nobootanimation = 1 I'm sorry but i don't know what is build.prop i'm new in this world of android an roms etc... i really wnat to learn about it... but now i'm slow and a bit awkward so can you explain it to me a bit more slow and whit steps to follow or something... also can you tell me what is build prop and how to use it? thanks you for everything i'm sorry of disturbing you.
Guest Frankish Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 build.prop is a text file in the system directory containing certain configuration options for the device. What I do to retrieve and change is... Download android commander for windows. Boot device into recovery and go to mounts and storage. Mount the system partition. Using android commander copy build.prop to PC. Add the extra line at the bottom of the file and save. Copy file back to system partition and reboot phone.
