Guest Nathair Glas Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 (edited) I am trying to revert to stock orange because the battery cannot hold a charge, even when I bought 2 genuine ZTE batteries. So it has to go back to the shop under the warranty. I looked on the market and appbrain's market for a free version then browsed to the official site using Opera Mini http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager Downloaded ROM Manager and when I when open it using Opera Mini and ES File Explorer. Both times an error shows saying "Parse Error - There is a problem parsing the package" I have used Clockmod Rom Manager before but I was rushing one day and accidentally uninstalled it. Any help? To revert to orange I am following this thread, hoping this works, and that I rooted the phone wont be detected (unless I can unroot it, which I doubt) http://android.modac..._1#entry1651134 Edited February 1, 2012 by Nathair Glas
Guest Davidoff59 Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 There is a free version. and a paid version, both are on android market and I just verified that both are still there. Its possible that it was a bad download. Its also possible that some bits are left over from the old install that may be causing issues, as I have noticed recently that uninstalling an apk still leaves files on the SD card.

Guest Davidoff59 Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 did you try the download from market? have you ticked the option to allow non market installs? That could be the issue if you didn't download from market
Guest Mesaj Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 I dont know you mean that but you can install cwm just by googling .img file for blade, placing it on sdcard then flash with terminal emulator with rooted device via $ su # flash_image recovery /path/to/recovery.img I've never used rommanager to do so I don't know how to resolve your problem. Maybe its just build.prop error, like Cheatmodel manufacturer changed ZTE to HTC to make some games working
Guest Nathair Glas Posted February 3, 2012 Report Posted February 3, 2012 I have used rom manager to install 'de-oranged r8' from http://android.podtwo.com/roms/ so I have ticked "Unknown Sources", this time I have tried to download from the free one from market but I cannot find it, i tried going via Opera Mini to download it but that doesn't even download. With the £3.99 one I wouldn't want to waste money buying an app that doesn't work. Are there any other free alternative apps for installing the B20 orange stock ROM on a blade? unless Mesaj's method has a backup in case the ROM makes the blade just show the android logo and then i can't do anything.
