Guest ChainSOV Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 It seems that every ROM I tried keeps silent on the headset, when the phone is set on vibrate. The only chance noticing an incoming call is when the music is getting paused by some ROMS. JJ, SS, GSF, CM7, they all didn't work for me, but I have a feeling that its not a ROM issue but an Android issue because googling tells me its a flaw many android devices have, although one user reports it worked on his stock nexus S 2.3.2 If you know of some ROM where it works or know of a fix, please do so. "don't put your phone on vibrate" is not a fix  If you are also annoyed by this bug, please star the cyanogenmod issue I created ;)
Guest ChainSOV Posted May 24, 2012 Report Posted May 24, 2012 (edited) Unfortunately the CM issue got stale, there is a new one http://code.google.c.../detail?id=5271 And also for android itself https://code.google....detail?id=32126 the problem is not in the roms, its a design flaw of Android itself. please star it if you are also annoyed by this. Android also has other major annoyances when it comes to headset usage if you answer a call by pressing the headset button, your screen gets unlocked, and welcomes accidental touch activation in your pocket. Please star https://code.google....detail?id=17216 and http://code.google.c.../detail?id=5272 to hopefully get it fixed Also if you end a call with your headset button, the screen also stays unlocked. I am also wondering why there is no auto-redial option on busy signal in android https://code.google..../detail?id=9628 I got my blade as an upgrade to an old SonyEricsson phone, I gained a bunch of multimedia stuff, games, wifi internet and gps, but basic telephony suffered heavily. The android feels more like a pda with some basic phone functions thrown in as an afterthought, than a real phone. I just hope it can be improved over time, but have to wonder why its so flawed by design in the first place. Edited May 24, 2012 by ChainSOV
Guest jackal-sk Posted May 27, 2012 Report Posted May 27, 2012 Because Google puts half of its' resources to Google+...
Guest ChainSOV Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 well, it seems there is no rom that does that but I had a sony ericsson experia arc in my hands a few days ago and this handset rings on the friggin headset when the phone is on vibrate! It probably also rings on both the phone and the headphones when its not on vibrate, but I just had a minute to test the first case
